Direct Support Professional, Independent Living Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Provide transportation services from Chemeketa Community College

• Assist with daily routines and organized activities

• Foster independence and progress towards goals

• Utilize effective communication strategies (such as visual aids and “first/then” techniques)

• Deliver calm, non-escalating assistance

• Facilitate community involvement and social interactions

• Uphold a structured, respectful, and supportive atmosphere

• Share updates with care teams and document services provided

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification

• Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable transportation

• Current auto insurance that meets state regulations

• Capability to pass a background check (not all records are disqualifying)

• Preferred (but not mandatory): Experience in caregiving, direct support professional roles, education, or behavioral assistance

• Experience in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)

• Familiarity with structured communication methods or visual aids

• CPR and First Aid certification
