Digital Teacher, Middle School Math

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provides instruction in areas such as reading, writing, spelling, language, vocabulary, mathematics, science, social studies, technology, counseling, study skills, health, problem solving, foreign languages, ESL, family and consumer sciences, physical education, music, and chorus.

• Identifies instructional techniques, strategies, and methods, adapting curriculum and learning styles to meet and assess the needs of students.

• Maintains clear communication with parents and guardians regarding academic and behavioral concerns through various channels, including phone calls, notes, and progress reports.

• Adheres to regular and predictable attendance standards.

• Develops activities and resources, strategies, and methods for diverse teaching approaches, creating lesson plans and substitute teaching plans aligned with learning objectives as outlined by school guidelines.

• Creates, analyzes, modifies, and implements Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for students to tailor instruction based on assessments and the appropriate selection of assessment tools and levels.

• Evaluates and assesses student performance, behavior, and progress through grades, progress reports, and comprehension of learning objectives.

• Ensures the confidentiality of protected student and staff information even after employment or enrollment ends.

• Prioritizes the well-being of students as a fundamental value in all decision-making processes.

• Contributes to the professional development of oneself and colleagues through collaboration in curriculum planning, staying updated with educational trends, and pursuing ongoing professional growth to meet state and school requirements, including maintaining current teaching certifications.

• Works collaboratively to fulfill the overarching goals of the school program.

• Fosters a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a Post-Bachelor's in Education from an accredited institution, or meets the Highly Qualified criteria established by the Arizona Department of Education.

• A valid State Teaching Certificate from any state; Arizona preferred (appropriate endorsements may be required based on the area of instruction or successful completion of relevant AEPA or NES proficiency exams).

• A satisfactory criminal background check and a current Active Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

• Professional verification of successful performance as a classroom teacher or relevant student teaching experience.

• Any equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education that provides comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities will be accepted.
