Digital Solutions Enterprise Architect – Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Define the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for significant projects, ensuring alignment with overarching enterprise goals and architectural standards.

• Lead the design and architecture of highly scalable, secure, and resilient solutions across various software technologies (e.g., Cloud, Microservices, Integration Platforms, automation, Data/AI, etc.).

• Serve as the subject matter expert and decision-maker regarding architectural choices, evaluating and selecting the most suitable technologies to meet specific business needs.

• Establish and enforce architectural governance, design patterns, and development standards to maintain consistency and quality across all development initiatives.

• Manage architecture decision records (ADRs) to ensure that technical decisions are documented and traceable.

• Lead and oversee large project teams, providing clear technical direction, motivation, and mentorship to senior developers and technical leads.

• Supervise the technical implementation and delivery process, ensuring compliance with architectural design and promoting the timely achievement of project milestones.

• Establish review processes and ensure the team upholds high standards for performance, security, and maintainability.

• Act as the escalation point for technical challenges, offering hands-on assistance and strategic guidance to resolve issues for the team.

• Proactively manage technical debt — balancing delivery speed with long-term maintainability.

• Promote a culture of engineering excellence through code reviews, pair programming, and internal tech talks.

• Advocate for CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.

• Define SLAs, SLOs, and observability standards (logging, monitoring, alerting).

• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to convert business objectives and digital service requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.

• Guide the team in designing digital services that enhance user experience and achieve optimal delivery outcomes.

• Define the most effective implementation and deployment strategies.

• Proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks throughout the delivery lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in both Arabic and English.

• Extensive experience (15+ years) in software development and solution architecture.

• Experience in designing architectures utilizing modern software technologies.

• Background in Networking and Systems related to software deployment and architectural design.

• Proven success in leading and managing large technical projects.

• Demonstrated ability to bridge business strategy, technical implementation, and operational delivery across a variety of projects.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the capacity to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP) — ideally certified.

• Familiarity with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent).

• Experience with agile/SAFe delivery at scale.

• Experience in government or enterprise systems integration projects is a plus.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.

• Relevant professional certifications are highly desirable.
