Digital QA Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, plan, and carry out testing activities across web, mobile, connected TV (CTV), APIs, data feeds, and internal platforms to ensure that products align with quality and business standards.

• Work closely with Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to clarify requirements, identify risks, and enhance overall product quality.

• Develop and maintain test strategies, test cases, regression suites, and documentation while prioritizing testing efforts based on risk, complexity, user impact, and release schedules.

• Identify, document, and validate defects until resolution, providing clear communication regarding testing status, release readiness, and potential risks.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality trends, supporting efficient QA processes, and assisting in expanding test automation coverage where it adds the most value.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, exploratory, accessibility, and user acceptance testing across web, mobile, CTV, and internal platforms.

• Perform cross-browser, cross-device, and mobile testing.

• Test connected-TV applications (Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV) for playback, captions, ad behavior, and live versus VOD scenarios.

• Validate APIs, data feeds, AI-generated outputs, JSON/XML payloads, and downstream integrations.

• Identify defects, usability issues, edge cases, and unexpected behaviors.

• Write detailed defect reports, including reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, and supporting evidence.

• Re-test fixes and confirm resolution prior to release.

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate with developers to isolate issues and aid in root-cause analysis.

• Maintain regression suites, test documentation, and repeatable QA processes.

• Validate release readiness and clearly communicate status, risks, and recommendations.

• Monitor quality trends, recurring defects, and areas of technical debt impacting product stability.

• Assist in identifying opportunities for automated testing to enhance value, partnering with engineering to improve coverage and efficiency.

• Engage in initiatives aimed at improving product quality and team effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, digital product testing, or a related field, with practical experience testing web applications, mobile applications, internal systems, or other digital products.

• A strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, exploratory, accessibility, and user acceptance testing, along with the ability to identify issues and validate solutions across multiple platforms.

• 3+ years of experience in software QA, digital product testing, or a closely related field.

• Practical experience testing web applications, mobile applications, internal systems, or other digital products.

• Solid grasp of functional, regression, integration, exploratory, accessibility, and acceptance testing.

• Capability to translate requirements and user workflows into effective test cases and scenarios.

• Experience in validating APIs, structured data, and system integrations.

• Strong defect documentation skills and the ability to collaborate across the entire SDLC.

• Working knowledge of accessibility principles and a commitment to incorporating accessibility checks into daily testing.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
