This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Oversee the engineering team by establishing team strategy, setup, and Key Performance Indicators.
• Maintain high standards in project engineering, efficiency, and timely delivery in accordance with EMH regulations.
• Monitor and manage resource utilization in collaboration with the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure operational efficiency and capacity to meet demand.
• Create Substation Automation Services offerings to enhance GA service and solutions growth.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team across System Design, Integration, and Testing.
• Establish and implement a clear vision and operational model for the Digital Control System Engineering organization, aligning with the GA Engineering strategy.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Assist in the bidding and project execution phases by defining system-level concepts and integration strategies.
• Work collaboratively with global engineering teams, project management, and supply chain to facilitate seamless system integration and handover to commissioning.
• Develop robust succession and competency development plans for all sub-functions.
• Collaborate closely with NPI, Tendering, and Regional Commercial teams to ensure alignment on technical strategy and resource allocation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
• 8 years of experience in electricity and automation engineering, encompassing distribution automation, substation digitization, diagnostics, APM, device management, and cybersecurity.
• 3 years of experience in designing and programming electrical control systems, including SCADA/HMI, IEC 61850, firewalls, cybersecurity, and networking.
• 5 years of experience managing engineering teams.
• Proficient in English.
• Willingness to travel 30% within the US and Canada.
