Digital Advertising Coordinator – Temporary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Manage advertising campaigns and support the ads team: initiate content creation, conduct reviews (including spell checks and policy checks), collaborate with various Middle Seat departments to ensure that product elements progress for ad campaigns, and gather as well as compile data for reporting purposes.

• Craft engaging ad copy that clearly articulates theories of change, encouraging supporters to donate, join, or assist our clients while reflecting our clients’ voices and perspectives.

• Set up and assess ad campaigns across all platforms (Facebook, Google, List Vendors, etc.) and start to develop a strategic mindset regarding campaign objectives.

• Begin acquiring knowledge of best practices for direct donation, acquisition, and persuasion campaigns; understand which tests to implement and how to interpret results; start considering ad campaigns as part of a comprehensive digital program aligned with an organization’s mission, and begin providing strategic feedback and suggestions.

• Act as the primary daily contact for the clients assigned to them, collaborating with other members of the ads team.

• Assist in A/B testing across all aspects — content, design, targeting, landing pages, etc.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as requested.

⛳️ Requirements

• A keen interest in engaging with advertising campaigns on major platforms (Facebook, Google Ads, The Trade Desk, etc.).

• A demonstrated commitment to progressive political values.

• Strong project management abilities (effectively manages multiple projects, anticipates challenges, involves the necessary team members when required, establishes goals, and devises processes to meet them).

• Responsible and proactive regarding assigned tasks (completes tasks on time or ahead of schedule; consistently seeks opportunities to enhance campaigns with innovative ideas and maintains a positive and creative work ethic).

• Willingness to work extended hours when necessary; comfortable being available for urgent client requests outside of regular business hours during election season.

• Strongly Preferred but Not Required:

• Experience in an agency or campaign environment.

• Background in digital advertising.

• Exceptional persuasive writing skills.

• Familiarity with various political CRMs (Action Kit, Action Network, NGP, etc.).
