This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Promote Zoetis diagnostic instruments, tests, related products, and services within a designated US sales territory.
• Establish and nurture customer relationships to enhance retention rates.
• Meet budgeted sales targets within specified accounts.
• Regularly update and maintain the sales funnel along with customer profile information.
• Collaborate with Zoetis team members to achieve objectives and support the diagnostics division.
• Travel to existing and potential customer locations, aiming for 3–4 visits to current customers and 3–4 new business prospects each day.
• Record customer and prospect interactions in the online database.
• Transport, set up, and demonstrate diagnostic solutions and equipment.
• Articulate the uses, benefits, and value propositions of products and services; address customer inquiries.
• Obtain purchase orders for diagnostic products and services.
• Offer continuous support to customers via in-person meetings, phone calls, and emails.
• Coordinate efforts with sales, accounting, technical staff, and the Diagnostic Technical Specialist.
• Generate new business opportunities and leads, including placing instruments in competitor accounts, academic institutions, and research environments.
• Collect referrals from existing customers.
• Assist with billing and collection processes.
• Travel within the assigned territory up to 60%–70% of the time, including approximately 4–8 overnight trips per month.
• At least 4 years of proven sales experience or relevant technical/clinical expertise, ideally within the medical, scientific, or healthcare sectors.
• A minimum of an Associate’s degree, preferably with a focus on science or business, or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Proven ability in selling capital equipment in physician and/or veterinary settings.
• Proficient in delivering presentations, including financial overviews, at various organizational levels.
• Capable of transporting, setting up, and demonstrating equipment swiftly and efficiently.
• Demonstrated skills in organization, prioritization, and time management.
• Strong ability to multitask and work autonomously.
• Possession of a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and auto insurance.
• Ability to safely lift and maneuver 60 lbs.
• Knowledgeable in veterinary terminology and science.
• Awareness of current and potential future market trends, sales strategies, and business intelligence.
• Familiarity with competitors and their value propositions.
• Authorization to work in the US; any sponsorship requirements must be disclosed.
