DevSecOps, Cloud Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance secure GitLab CI/CD pipelines that incorporate automated vulnerability scanning and compliance checkpoints.

• Standardize deployment templates and pipeline workflows to enhance development speed.

• Lead the deployment, configuration, and scaling of ERP testing platforms, including Tricentis Tosca, qTest, NeoLoad, and LiveCompare.

• Oversee and troubleshoot hybrid deployments that integrate containerized microservices on EKS with monolithic applications on EC2.

• Manage and scale AWS infrastructure across EKS, EC2, S3, and RDS.

• Implement and uphold cloud security measures, such as IAM policies, VPC security, and least-privilege access protocols.

• Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks across EKS and EC2 nodes.

• Troubleshoot environment failures and identify performance bottlenecks.

• Act as a technical resource for the operations of testing infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of specialized experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Cloud/Systems Engineering.

• Demonstrated experience in managing production environments.

• Practical experience with AWS services.

• In-depth operational expertise in EKS, including Kubernetes deployments and service networking.

• Proficient in managing EC2 instances.

• Experience in constructing, securing, and maintaining complex GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong skills in Python or Bash.

• Experience in automating system configurations, database backups, or API-driven tool integrations.

• Familiarity with integrating SAST/DAST, container scanning, and secret-detection tools into CI/CD pipelines.

• Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.

• Ability to mentor junior team members.

• Effective interfacing with testing and QA engineering leads.

• Possession of an active Secret security clearance.
