This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop an informed cloud strategy and oversee the adaptation process.
• Design, plan, manage, maintain, support, and execute various technology tasks for the organization's cloud computing environment.
• Monitor the consumption of cloud resources, turnaround time for request fulfillment, application performance, and the security posture of systems.
• Assess cloud applications, hardware, and software as necessary.
• Create technical solutions for AWS public cloud environments.
• Develop functional design specifications, reference architectures, and other technical documents.
• Collaborate across functions to evaluate cloud service provider SLAs, KRIs, and KPIs.
• Partner with Engineering teams to facilitate applications running on the relevant cloud platform.
• Work alongside IT Security to oversee the company's cloud privacy.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for production-critical AWS incidents.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as directed.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience.
• Typically requires 3+ years of experience in a related field with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS.
• Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
• Strong grasp of AWS security best practices and experience in implementing IAM and network security measures.
• Experience with AWS network infrastructure, including VPCs, security groups, and NACLs.
• Familiarity with routing, VPNs, and Direct Connect.
• Experience using monitoring and logging tools, including AWS CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
• Familiarity with third-party monitoring solutions.
• Knowledge of AWS high availability and disaster recovery services and best practices.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar technologies.
• Ability to identify improvements in technology, processes, and procedures for enhanced effectiveness and performance.
• Capacity to remain focused, motivated, organized, and effective in a remote work setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration skills within a team environment.
