Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive technical leadership and guidance for the execution of cloud computing initiatives.

• Offer design support for foundational cloud services.

• Assist in the design, development, and migration of cloud-based solutions.

• Facilitate cloud pilot programs and the adoption of Platform as a Service (PaaS), particularly in relation to DevSecOps and cloud integration.

• Spearhead cloud pilot projects aimed at establishing foundational services for cloud integration.

• Illustrate business and systems processes through use-case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models.

• Create and enhance system architectural concepts and integrated architectural frameworks.

• Conduct technical evaluations of applications to determine the quality of cloud solutions.

• Assist with the integration of USDA data centers and environments.

• Promote automation through DevSecOps, USDA eAuth integration, and Azure Security Center.

• Execute other job-related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• AWS Cloud Architect certification is mandatory.

• Proven experience in the design, development, and migration of cloud-based solutions.

• Background in cloud computing within an architectural role.

• Previous experience with integration involving USDA data centers and environments.

• Familiarity with automation practices through DevSecOps.

• Experience with USDA eAuth integration.

• Proficient in using Azure Security Center.

• Prior experience supporting projects for the U.S. Federal Government.

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is required.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Strong skills in time management and decision-making.

• Basic organizational skills for task management.

• Eligible for Public Trust or possess one.

• Must successfully complete pre-employment qualifications set by Cherokee Federal.
