DevOps Engineer/SRE, Cloud IaaS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Deploy and manage Linux-based infrastructure that supports our Edge Cloud platform.

• Construct, automate, and enhance the provisioning and lifecycle management of infrastructure.

• Strategically plan and carry out infrastructure maintenance while minimizing customer impact.

• Diagnose complex issues across compute, networking, virtualization, and storage layers.

• Enhance the reliability, scalability, and observability of our cloud platform.

• Design, implement, and refine infrastructure automation and deployment workflows utilizing GitLab CI, Ansible, and Terraform.

• Collaborate with engineers from infrastructure, networking, and platform teams to continually improve our services.

• Take part in an on-call rotation to support production infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in production as a DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure Engineer.

• Proficient Linux administration skills with experience in managing production infrastructure at scale.

• Practical experience with OpenStack.

• Background in infrastructure automation using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.

• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with virtualization systems such as KVM, Libvirt, and QEMU.

• Capability to write Python and Bash scripts for automating operational tasks.

• A passion for technology and a desire to understand systems at a granular level.

• Comfort in working within a production environment and participating in an on-call rotation.

• A sincere curiosity about system operations, with an ability to diagnose issues down to the hardware layer.
