This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +9 more states.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing DevOps team with a focus on impact, ownership, and continuous enhancement
• Create and implement a strategy to upskill and transition traditional operations staff into modern DevOps practitioners
• Cultivate a culture centered around automation, accountability, and engineering excellence
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product leadership to ensure alignment of platform capabilities with delivery objectives
• Act as a vital contributor to the Development Leadership Team, influencing engineering direction, standards, and practices
• Oversee team performance through regular one-on-one meetings, coaching, feedback, and career development planning
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve alignment and results
• Define and implement a clear DevOps strategy that aligns with business priorities and product objectives
• Advocate for best practices across CI/CD, observability, reliability, and security
• Set and monitor KPIs for delivery performance, reliability, and operational efficiency
• Drive enhancements in alignment with engineering performance metrics
• Continuously enhance deployment speed, system stability, and developer experience
• Lead significant DevOps and infrastructure initiatives from design to production readiness
• Architect, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid, reliable, and repeatable software delivery
• Standardize and scale build, test, and deployment processes across engineering teams
• Promote an automation-first mindset to eliminate manual processes
• Lead and advance Infrastructure as Code practices utilizing tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Terragrunt, and Bicep
• Design and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS
• Ensure that infrastructure supports high-performing, scalable online experiences
• Integrate DevSecOps principles into pipelines and infrastructure
• Over 10 years of experience in engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles
• More than 3 years of experience leading DevOps or platform teams
• In-depth expertise in CI/CD systems (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform is highly preferred)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
• Solid background in automation, scripting, and distributed system design
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence engineering culture, and drive organizational transformation
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
