This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Design, implement, and sustain a secure, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines that facilitate frequent, repeatable, and low-risk deployments.
• Automate the processes of infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, and environment management.
• Maintain infrastructure as code utilizing tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or similar technologies.
• Enhance consistency across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Construct and manage containerized application environments and orchestration capabilities.
• Implement and refine monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, dashboards, and production health reporting.
• Collaborate with engineers to define service-level indicators, service-level objectives, and actionable operational metrics.
• Strengthen application and infrastructure resilience, scalability, availability, and disaster recovery preparedness.
• Oversee secrets, certificates, identity, permissions, network controls, and cloud security configurations.
• Assist in vulnerability management, dependency security, patching, and infrastructure hardening.
• Advance deployment strategies, including automated rollback, blue-green deployment, canary releases, or similar methods as necessary.
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents related to infrastructure, networking, application deployment, performance, capacity, or cloud services.
• Engage in incident response, post-incident reviews, root-cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
• Minimize cloud waste and enhance visibility into infrastructure costs.
• Create self-service tools and reusable deployment patterns for application engineering teams.
• Document infrastructure architecture, operational procedures, recovery processes, and troubleshooting guidelines.
• Participate in production support and an appropriate on-call rotation.
• Utilize AI-assisted engineering and operational tools to expedite scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, and infrastructure analysis while implementing suitable validation and security measures.
• Around 5 or more years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience managing production workloads in AWS.
• Proficient hands-on experience with infrastructure as code.
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, AWS CodePipeline, or equivalent tools.
• Solid knowledge of Docker and containerized application delivery.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or another container orchestration platform.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, including virtual networks, subnets, routing, load balancers, DNS, firewalls, gateways, and private connectivity.
• Experience in cloud identity and access management, role-based access, least-privilege design, and secrets management.
• Knowledge in implementing logging, metrics, dashboards, alerts, and distributed tracing.
• Familiarity with observability platforms such as Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, or similar technologies.
• Strong Linux and command-line skills.
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash, JavaScript, or a related language.
• Understanding of application deployment patterns for modern web applications, APIs, background workers, and event-driven systems.
• Experience in supporting relational databases, backup, restore processes, high availability, and database operational health.
• Knowledge of incident-management practices, root-cause analysis, capacity planning, and production-readiness reviews.
• Working knowledge of cloud security, vulnerability remediation, encryption, certificates, key management, and compliance-oriented controls.
