DevOps Engineer, Marketplace Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Engage in the transition of on-prem services to the Cloud;

• Set up and optimize various services to enhance system stability, performance, and security;

• Create, maintain, and refine automation processes for all our systems;

• Conduct capacity planning and performance optimization for high-traffic events such as Black Friday;

• Participate in the design and implementation of new features;

• Address issues and offer support to internal teams;

• Identify recurring issues or tasks and concentrate on automation and the establishment of permanent solutions;

• Continuously enhance monitoring and alerting systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience with Linux across various distributions (RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, Alpine, etc.), and containerization technologies (Docker, Podman);

• Significant experience with CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Gitlab, GitHub, Bitbucket, and Jenkins, alongside automation tools (Puppet, Ansible), high availability, load balancing, and caching;

• Proficient in version control using Git;

• Strong background in managing Kubernetes clusters and deploying applications in production environments;

• Skilled in Bash and Python scripting, with the ability to utilize regular expressions;

• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly with Terraform;

• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana, StatsD, ELK stack, Prometheus, NewRelic, etc.);

• Solid understanding of networking services and protocols (routing, VPN, DNS);

• Knowledgeable in web services and technologies (nginx, fastcgi, php-fpm, varnish, haproxy).
