This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the cloud.gov hosting environment, which includes both staging and production settings.
• Handle application deployments, infrastructure as code, configuration management, and rollback operations.
• Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines along with automated security and quality assessments.
• Administer application logs, metrics, alerts, backups, and recovery protocols.
• Take ownership of production monitoring, operational runbooks, and the processes for release verification.
• Act as the primary engineer for the team's rotating urgent-issue escalation responsibilities.
• Lead the diagnosis and resolution of incidents when production issues arise.
• Plan and facilitate the initial production cutover.
• Keep system administration, disaster recovery, and operational documentation updated.
• Supply configuration and continuous monitoring evidence necessary to support the system's Authorization to Operate (ATO).
• Collaborate closely with software engineers and other technical team members to ensure secure, stable, and efficient application delivery.
• Serve as Key Personnel as specified in the proposal.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in operating cloud applications and automating infrastructure.
• At least two (2) years of experience maintaining CI/CD processes within Agile teams.
• A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Experience with cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments; Cloud Foundry experience is preferred.
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code practices.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining application and infrastructure observability.
• Proficient in scripting to support infrastructure and application operations.
• Knowledge of secrets management.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Expertise in production incident response, diagnosis, and service restoration.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and acquire a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card.
• Availability during core hours of 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Eastern.
• Experience with cloud.gov is preferred.
• Familiarity with supporting FedRAMP-hosted environments is preferred.
• Experience related to FIPS-validated cryptography is preferred.
• Knowledge of OWASP scanning and automated application-security checks is preferred.
• Fully remote work arrangement.
• Full-time schedule.
• Occasional travel may be required.
