This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Oversee and enhance production infrastructure hosted on AWS
• Provide support for AWS services such as ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC
• Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools
• Manage containerized workloads utilizing Docker and Kubernetes or AWS ECS
• Design and uphold Infrastructure as Code through Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation
• Offer support for production PostgreSQL and/or MySQL databases
• Enhance monitoring, logging, alerting, and overall system observability
• Diagnose infrastructure, deployment, and production reliability challenges
• Automate operational tasks through scripting
• Collaborate with developers on deployment, infrastructure, and release processes
• Recognize opportunities to enhance infrastructure reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or SRE
• Solid hands-on experience with AWS, including ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC
• Proficient scripting skills in Bash
• Professional experience with at least one of Python 3.x or TypeScript 5.x
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or comparable platforms
• Strong expertise in Docker
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and/or AWS ECS for production environments
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform 1.x, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation
• Background in managing production databases such as PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or Sentry
• Proficient with Git and collaborative software development practices
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of infrastructure-related responsibilities
• Comfortable in a dynamic startup setting with minimal bureaucracy and significant autonomy
• Required to have English C1 or equivalent professional fluency
• Must reside in Europe and be able to work effectively within European working hours
• Availability for around 20 hours per week, with some flexibility to adjust hours based on project demands
• Open to a temporary engagement anticipated to last approximately 3–5 months
• Part-time temporary engagement lasting approximately 3–5 months
• Flexible working hours, with around 20 hours per week and the potential to adjust hours based on project needs
• Fully remote position available within Europe
