This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.
• Ensure the reliability of the platform by implementing high-availability configurations, backup and restore processes, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Deploy and maintain services across both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes workloads, including Helm deployments and GitOps workflows utilizing Argo CD.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration through Terraform and Ansible.
• Develop comprehensive technical solutions and infrastructure components from the ground up.
• Operate and manage PostgreSQL databases hosted on Amazon RDS.
• Create and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines featuring automated quality gates and testing protocols.
• Implement and oversee IAM and SSO integrations using Keycloak.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability through Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Provide third-level support and engage in incident management, root cause analysis, and resolution efforts.
• Assist in cloud migration initiatives, including planning and execution of cutover strategies.
• Conduct patch and upgrade management for infrastructure and services.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and infrastructure-related challenges.
• Write Python and shell scripts to facilitate operational automation.
• Contribute to the internal developer platform capabilities, such as service catalogs and Backstage developer portals.
• Participate in the creation of technical and IT product documentation adhering to docs-as-code principles.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar infrastructure-focused role.
• Extensive experience with platform operations, ensuring high availability, and managing backup/restore and disaster recovery processes.
• Proficient hands-on experience with core AWS services and Linux environments on AWS.
• Strong practical experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Experience using Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management.
• Hands-on expertise with Docker and containerized environments.
• Proficient in Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps-based deployment workflows utilizing Argo CD.
• Practical experience managing PostgreSQL databases, preferably on Amazon RDS.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD and the implementation of pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Git, including branching strategies and repository migrations.
• Experience with artifact management solutions such as Artifactory and Nexus.
• Knowledge of IAM and SSO concepts, including Keycloak and OIDC/SAML integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Familiarity with incident management and third-level support processes.
• Experience with cloud migration and cutover activities.
• Competence in patch and upgrade management tasks.
• Proficient in Python and shell scripting.
• Understanding of code quality practices and automated testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with platform engineering concepts and Backstage developer portals.
• Basic knowledge of TypeScript and frontend development.
