DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.

📋 Description

• Diagnose system issues utilizing logs, diagnostics, and monitoring tools.

• Create and sustain automation scripts with PowerShell and Bash.

• Design and oversee CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and deployment.

• Set up and manage web servers (IIS) while supporting application hosting environments.

• Deploy, manage, and scale applications within Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Construct and uphold Docker images, Dockerfiles, and containerized settings.

• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, etc.).

• Collaborate with development teams to facilitate smooth release cycles and dependable deployments.

• Contribute to enhancing system architecture and adopting optimal DevOps practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

• Full working proficiency in English.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.

• Proficiency in Windows and Linux administration.

• Strong understanding of system internals, troubleshooting, and log analysis.

• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancing, and SSL/TLS.

• Expertise in Git (branching, merging, rebasing) and modern workflows.

• Experience with Azure DevOps and building CI/CD pipelines.

• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).

• Knowledge of Helm and cert-manager is an advantage.

• Familiarity with container registries.

• Experience managing IIS (Nginx/Tomcat experience is a plus).

• Working knowledge of MS SQL for support and diagnostics.

• Programming/scripting: Required: .NET (C# / ASP.NET) for understanding application build and deployment processes.

• Preferred: Node.js for developing extensions for Azure DevOps.

• Nice to have: Python or Go for creating supporting tools and scripts.

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Zabbix).

• Understanding of modern architectures: monolith, microservices, event-driven, serverless.
