Senior DevOps Engineer, Dynatrace

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain comprehensive observability solutions across the enterprise using Dynatrace for web, mobile, APIs, and cloud-native applications.

• Configure Real User Monitoring (RUM), Application Performance Monitoring (APM), infrastructure monitoring, synthetic monitoring, and distributed tracing.

• Create executive and operational dashboards to track application health, user experience, service performance, and platform availability.

• Deploy Dynatrace Davis AI to establish intelligent baselines, minimize alert noise, and proactively identify performance issues.

• Develop monitoring solutions for cloud-native microservices and distributed systems operating in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Integrate Dynatrace with PagerDuty and other incident management systems.

• Work collaboratively with software engineers and platform teams to set observability standards throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Oversee critical business transactions and user journeys.

• Evaluate performance trends, pinpoint bottlenecks, and suggest enhancements for reliability.

• Assist in production incident investigations through performance analysis, root cause assessment, and post-incident evaluations.

• Establish monitoring standards, documentation, and best practices for enterprise observability.

• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and Infrastructure teams to enhance operational excellence and resilience of the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in implementing and administering Dynatrace within enterprise settings.

• Extensive experience with Dynatrace Administration, Dynatrace OneAgent, RUM, APM, distributed tracing, infrastructure monitoring, synthetic monitoring, and Dynatrace Davis AI.

• Proven experience in monitoring cloud-native applications deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Background in supporting modern microservices architectures and REST APIs.

• Experience integrating Dynatrace with incident management platforms such as PagerDuty.

• Strong grasp of observability concepts, including metrics, logs, traces, service health, and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).

• Experience in troubleshooting application performance, latency, and infrastructure challenges.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills within Agile teams.

• Preferred: experience in supporting web and mobile applications.

• Preferred: experience in monitoring Kubernetes or containerized workloads.

• Preferred: knowledge of Google Cloud Operations Suite, incorporating Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.

• Preferred: scripting or automation experience using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

• Preferred: experience in embedding observability into DevOps and SRE practices.

• Preferred: background in healthcare or other highly regulated industries.

• Capability to engage in internal and external meetings via video conferencing as necessary.

• Willingness to work onsite at corporate or client locations as required.
