This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain cloud infrastructure for Octus products.

• Create, execute, and uphold CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deployment processes.

• Manage workload priorities with an emphasis on enhancing developer productivity.

• Oversee and refine cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.

• Develop and maintain monitoring and alert systems in collaboration with SRE.

• Enforce and apply security best practices throughout both infrastructure and applications.

• Work alongside software developers to enhance application performance and reliability.

• Engage in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and execution.

• Provide updates on project statuses, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Take part in an on-call rotation for system support duties.

• Collaborate with Application Developers, Data Engineers, SRE, Security, and IT professionals.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps position.

• At least 2 years of experience with Terraform.

• Deep understanding of cloud concepts and services, including EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, A/ELB, EBS, VPC, and Route53 or similar.

• Advanced knowledge of Linux systems.

• Strong scripting abilities for automation and tooling purposes.

• Capable of troubleshooting, diagnosing, resolving, and documenting root cause analysis of incidents.

• Solid understanding of database configuration, concepts, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of security principles with experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring appropriate controls.

• Extensive experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools like Terraform, SaltStack, or equivalent.

• Proficient in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and ECS, particularly in managing microservices architectures.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, or equivalent.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
