DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Oversee and develop projects along with hybrid infrastructure.

• Set up and sustain internal services.

• Create and uphold monitoring systems.

• Establish and deploy environments.

• Lead bare-metal deployments.

• Facilitate performance and integration testing.

• Enhance the existing infrastructure.

• Provide support for a variety of software and services within the Platform team.

• Primarily engage with services operating on Kubernetes.

• Collaborate with software development and QA teams.

• Conduct root cause analysis for production issues.

• Join 24/7 on-call support only during emergencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of consistent experience in DevOps/IT system administration.

• Expertise in deploying and managing Unix/Linux servers, including Debian/Ubuntu and RHEL/CentOS.

• Strong understanding of standard IT security practices.

• Experience in constructing and supporting hybrid infrastructures.

• Proficiency in implementing CI/CD; familiarity with GitHub Actions is a plus.

• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and SaltStack.

• Knowledge of virtualization and containerization tools.

• Capability to perform root cause analysis for production errors.

• Awareness of ISO 27001, SOC 2 requirements, and CIS benchmarks.

• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases along with clustering.

• Expertise in cloud-based DevOps practices, particularly Terraform, IaC, and PaC.

• Kubernetes experience in deploying, testing, and managing a cluster.

• Strong understanding of Git.

• Experience with log management tools.

• Good scripting abilities in Bash, Python, or similar languages.

• Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring in production settings.

• Solid understanding of software development methodologies.

• Knowledge and hands-on experience in advanced networking, including local and global networks, ACLs, firewalls, VPN tunnels, and advanced routing.

• Availability for 24/7 on-call support in case of emergencies.

• Experience with AWS/GCP is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 is a plus.
