This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Design, develop, and maintain the backend infrastructure for Patchman.
• Create and sustain new product features, overseeing the process from design to implementation and testing.
• Investigate and address complex issues raised by customers, thoroughly analyzing the codebase to uncover root causes.
• Manage and maintain a substantial fleet of dedicated servers, including API gateways, load balancers, and internal processing nodes.
• Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines for streamlined, automated delivery.
• Write and uphold comprehensive unit and integration tests to guarantee code quality.
• Monitor the performance and reliability of production systems, actively identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine architecture and contribute to the technical direction.
• Over 5 years of professional experience as a Backend or DevOps Developer.
• Proficient in at least one high-level programming language.
• Experience in designing backend services, with a strong grasp of performance, concurrency, scalability, and reliability.
• Practical experience in building and operating high-throughput data pipelines at scale using technologies such as Apache Kafka, ClickHouse, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Familiarity with SQL databases like PostgreSQL and in-memory databases such as Redis.
• Strong understanding of various data storage paradigms, including relational, NoSQL, and in-memory key-value databases.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose for local development and production deployment.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring systems.
• A solid understanding of CI/CD best practices, including Git, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
• Excellent debugging capabilities and the ability to investigate intricate technical issues.
• An analytical mindset with the skill to interpret metrics and user feedback for data-driven decision-making.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Upper-intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English.
