This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Deliver daily technical assistance to internal software engineering teams regarding cloud infrastructure and platform-related challenges.
• Act as the initial point of contact for technical support and escalate complex infrastructure issues as necessary.
• Resolve deployment, networking, infrastructure, and CI/CD challenges.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions for recurring issues.
• Discover opportunities to automate manual operational tasks and enhance engineering workflows.
• Create, sustain, and refine Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Develop automation and tools utilizing Python and Bash.
• Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with software engineers to comprehend platform requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Engage in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural advancements.
• Contribute to the reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence of the platform.
• Mentor fellow engineers and advocate for engineering best practices for L4 candidates.
• Over 5 years of experience in roles such as DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar; L4 candidates typically have 7+ years.
• Proficient hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, networking, IAM, and essential infrastructure services.
• Experience in writing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Strong scripting abilities in Python and Bash.
• Experience in supporting Linux-based environments.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Capability to debug infrastructure, deployment, and networking issues with effective root cause analysis skills.
• Background in supporting cloud-native applications and containerized workloads.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Ability to gather requirements and communicate effectively with both software engineers and non-infrastructure stakeholders.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with a customer-centric approach.
• Comfortable collaborating across engineering teams.
• Ability to work during Central or Eastern US business hours.
• Reliable internet connection, webcam, and microphone for remote collaboration.
• Experience with internal developer platforms or Platform-as-a-Service environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS), ECS, Docker, and container orchestration is advantageous.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, CodeDeploy, or similar is beneficial.
• Familiarity with observability platforms like DataDog, OpenTelemetry, ELK Stack, New Relic, or Sentry is a plus.
• Experience with additional AWS services including Lambda, Aurora, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, CloudFront, or CloudFormation is appreciated.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, routing, and VLANs is advantageous.
• Experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Familiarity with administering Windows Servers, Active Directory, or ASP.NET deployments is beneficial.
• Software development experience in any programming language is a plus.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers is a nice-to-have, particularly for L4 candidates.
