Development Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, implementation, and delivery of comprehensive full-stack solutions.

• Guide, coach, and mentor a team of Software Engineers.

• Provide reports on development progress, quality, and system performance.

• Collaborate closely with engineers to create and develop optimal technical designs and approaches.

• Recruit Software Engineers.

• Design, implement, test, and maintain innovative software solutions.

• Establish and uphold software engineering best practices to guarantee high-quality deliverables from the team.

• Produce high-quality distributed system software.

• Contribute to the architecture and design of both new and existing systems.

• Conduct code reviews.

• Work with other teams and departments to collect and share information regarding team activities.

• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities associated with the Development Team Lead position.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Significant experience in software development.

• Experience in leadership and utilizing Agile Development methodologies (optional).

• Strong background in contributing to the architecture and design of both new and existing systems.

• Proficient knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.

• Object-oriented programming proficiency in PHP, Java, or C#.

• Strong software development attributes, including the ability to craft creative and innovative solutions to complex challenges.

• Experience in promoting a culture of modern engineering practices.

• Strong understanding of MySQL.

• Familiarity with distributed version control tools.

• Knowledge of contemporary JavaScript frameworks.

• Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
