This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Lead and guide the Development teams.
• Convert product requirements into internal engineering development plans, task breakdowns, and backlog commitments, ensuring effective execution.
• Oversee the processes for bug triage and feature requests.
• Ensure that development activities align with the priorities established by product management.
• Monitor the progress of tasks, epics, and releases, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
• Identify obstacles and facilitate their prompt resolution.
• Provide consistent updates regarding development status, risks, and timelines.
• Ensure that quality standards are achieved prior to release.
• Coordinate efforts with engineering: development, QA, and technical documentation across the team.
• Manage the QA function for all products.
• Maintain development processes and enhance execution efficiency.
• Define and uphold best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
• Own and manage a backlog, ensuring it is clean, actionable, and current.
• Maintain team capacity, workload balance, engagement, and performance standards, while managing human resources to align with the company’s needs.
• Foster a high level of engagement within the development department.
• Ensure that engineering deliverables meet the release readiness criteria set by the Senior Program Manager.
• Guarantee compliance with applicable certification criteria in development.
• Own the processes for vulnerability response, security testing, and maintaining product security posture.
• Assess technical debt, report findings, and implement actions to mitigate it.
• Participate in the budgeting process.
• Manage the technical requests escalation process.
• Oversee the execution of the release process.
• Manage DevOps/Release Engineering, including CI/CD pipelines, build systems, release tools, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Establish technical standards for community contributions.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Proficiency in development methodologies and best practices.
• Exceptional problem-solving and risk-management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of software planning, development, debugging, and quality assurance processes.
• Capability to optimize workflows and boost team productivity.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience as a Development Manager or in a similar role, with demonstrated ownership of software development cycles, releases, and team management.
• Experience leading distributed teams in a fully remote setting.
• Background in overseeing debugging, bug resolution, and quality assurance.
• Essential experience in networking, infrastructure, or cloud-based development.
• Hands-on experience with certification of development processes is required.
• Familiarity with open-source or open-core environments.
• Experience with automation, AI, and task management for Infrastructure, along with Jira automation.
