This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Carry out engineering design development tasks, system performance modeling, and associated CAD design efforts by collaborating with discipline-specific design teams (electrical, civil, structural).
• Review and supervise the delivery of initial designs (0–30%) and feasibility assessments.
• Maintain a professional knowledge of all relevant codes, standards, and construction practices.
• Serve as a point of contact between design teams and pertinent internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate across various departments to identify and synchronize team members across disciplines to ensure timely completion and submission of project work.
• Foster strong and responsive relationships with clients, especially in communication regarding specific tasks and meeting agendas.
• Ensure compliance with company and client QA/QC standards.
• Aid in the development, implementation, and enforcement of departmental Standard Best Practices (SBPs).
• Support the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of performance analysis tools during the development phase.
• Collaborate with proposal teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) to determine proposal pricing.
• Provide engineering and technical assistance to the Business Development & Project Services teams.
• Offer pre-sales technical support to clients and NEI outside sales teams.
• Contribute to business development through Seller-Doer activities, including marketing support and proposal development as necessary.
• Participate in conferences, training workshops, seminars, and continuing education as appropriate to ensure work quality and support professional growth.
• Uphold high ethical and professional standards.
• Complete mandatory safety training and comply with all safety regulations and guidelines.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Over 5 years of engineering or relevant technical experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Strong grasp of electrical and civil engineering principles, with a focus on development-phase engineering.
• Commercial awareness of the engineering or construction sectors.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced design environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
