Development Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Arrange meetings with significant donors.

• Utilize a designated list of donors and prospects to coordinate meetings with YAL representatives.

• Perform outreach mainly through phone calls, following up via text and email as necessary.

• Thoroughly document all outreach activities in CRM systems.

• Research prospective donors to pinpoint high-capacity individuals.

• Compile and submit research reports to the Donor Relations team.

• Adhere to established research protocols and guidelines.

• Call donors to express gratitude for their recent contributions.

• Conduct discovery calls with new YAL donors.

• Record detailed notes from each interaction.

• Contact donors from provided lists to solicit contributions.

• Follow up through email and text as appropriate.

• Track and document all interactions.

• Complete assigned reading materials and training modules.

• Actively participate in training sessions.

• Take comprehensive notes and apply feedback received.

• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to accurately and consistently track calls, emails, texts, and notes.

• Clear, confident verbal and written communication skills; comfortable engaging in phone conversations with new contacts.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to conduct basic research and clearly summarize findings.

• Professional, respectful, and tactful in all communications.

• Proficient in using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and willing to learn CRM systems and outreach tools.

• Capable of managing assigned outreach lists and completing tasks independently without constant supervision.

• Open to coaching, growth-oriented, and eager to acquire new skills in fundraising and donor communication.
