This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement OpenClaw's strategy for its developer community.

• Increase contributor involvement across various Foundation projects.

• Design onboarding experiences tailored for developers, researchers, and maintainers.

• Create community programs that promote meaningful engagement and ensure long-term retention.

• Cultivate an inclusive and welcoming environment for contributors.

• Establish recognition initiatives for contributors, ambassadors, and community leaders.

• Assist in community governance efforts as the Foundation expands.

• Act as a public representative for OpenClaw and the wider open-agent ecosystem.

• Build strong relationships with developers, researchers, AI practitioners, and ecosystem partners.

• Gather community feedback and share insights with maintainers and Foundation leadership.

• Help define project priorities based on developer requirements and ecosystem trends.

• Represent OpenClaw at conferences, hackathons, podcasts, webinars, and other industry events.

• Create high-quality content that empowers developers to effectively utilize OpenClaw.

• Develop tutorials, technical guides, documentation, blog posts, videos, demos, webinars, case studies, and newsletters.

• Collaborate with maintainers and researchers to simplify complex technical concepts into accessible educational material.

• Produce contributor guides and onboarding documentation.

• Assist in positioning OpenClaw as the premier platform for open AI agents.

• Nurture relationships with startups, enterprises, academic institutions, and open-source communities.

• Aid in the development of interoperability standards and ecosystem initiatives.

• Identify potential partnerships and opportunities for community-driven collaboration.

• Collaborate with sponsors, contributors, and industry stakeholders to enhance the Foundation's influence.

• Launch and oversee ambassador programs, contributor initiatives, community grants, mentorship programs, hackathons, meetups, virtual events, and working groups.

• Coordinate the Foundation's presence at major open-source, AI, and developer conferences.

• Support the establishment of local and global community chapters.

• Monitor and enhance key ecosystem metrics such as active contributors, new contributor growth, contributor retention, community engagement, documentation usage, event participation, developer satisfaction, ecosystem partnerships, and open-source project adoption.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, Community Management, Open Source Program Management, or similar fields.

• Proven experience in building and scaling technical communities.

• Comprehensive knowledge of open-source development and contributor workflows.

• Strong familiarity with collaboration models based on GitHub.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience in producing technical content aimed at developer audiences.

• Demonstrated ability to establish trust with engineers, maintainers, researchers, and community leaders.

• Excellent project management and organizational capabilities.

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

• Background in AI, developer tools, infrastructure, security, robotics, or closely related technical fields.

• Previous experience with an open-source foundation or standards organization.

• Knowledge of governance models utilized by organizations like the Linux Foundation, W3C, Apache, CNCF, or Mozilla.

• Experience managing large-scale developer programs, conferences, or hackathons.

• Technical expertise in software engineering or computer science.

• Experience supporting globally distributed communities.
