This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist us in motivating and equipping developers to utilize Twilio products and AI technology, ensuring a remarkable developer experience with Twilio.

• Actively engage and authentically participate in the developer community both online and offline. For many developers, you will serve as "the face" of Twilio -- the person they reach out to for assistance. They will feel valued because of your connection. When Twilio employees need to engage with the Bay Area and North American developer community, they will turn to you.

• Attend, organize, and present at both in-person and virtual events.

• Create clear and empathetic content that simplifies the complex while narrating stories with code, empowering developers with knowledge about tools and techniques.

• Collaborate across functions and partner within Twilio to align with program and engagement goals.

• Independently manage projects from initiation to completion, outlining key milestones and ensuring deadlines are adhered to.

• Effectively communicate project plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels within the region and across the organization.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, PHP, Node, C# (.NET), or Java, with an understanding of web frameworks associated with these languages.

• Technical foundational knowledge in AI tools, technologies, and/or platforms.

• Ability to navigate the evolving AI developer ecosystem, community, and emerging industry trends.

• A passion for teaching others, coupled with curiosity and enthusiasm for technology.

• 3-5 years of experience in writing production code, with a deep empathy for developers to effectively support their building journey.

• Experience collaborating across functions with teams such as sales, support, product, and marketing.

• Creative and collaborative problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making for system and process enhancements.

• Proficient in storytelling to showcase developers using Twilio and inspire others.

• Background in public speaking, writing, and/or organizing engaging programs.

• Knowledge of the Bay Area developer community and industry landscape, including local communities, events, and programs.

• Familiarity with the local AI developer ecosystem, especially through the lens of Developer Relations.

• Understanding of project management tools and methodologies.

• Ability to influence and build productive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

• Strong skills in influencing, problem-solving, consensus-building, and effective interpersonal communication.

• Experience in organizing and managing developer events, meetups, and/or user groups.
