Developer, Billing Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop, test, debug, deliver, and maintain software systems for both new and existing product features.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders during the development process to facilitate seamless releases.

• Work alongside your colleagues and project manager to effectively communicate technical requirements to stakeholders and address technical challenges in a scalable and practical manner.

• Guide junior and new team members by clarifying team expectations, offering technical support, sharing knowledge, and participating in pair programming activities.

• Engage in planning by identifying significant tasks and breaking them down, estimating, and organizing work.

• Write thorough tests throughout various stages of the development process to confirm that code operates as intended.

• Review code written by others to uphold high standards of code quality, promote knowledge sharing within the team, and foster a supportive environment for giving and receiving feedback.

• Create and evaluate documentation regarding code procedures to ensure scalability.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development.

• Be available for on-call rotational duties to guarantee continuous support and address emergencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development.

• A strong commitment to and proven experience in software development best practices and coding standards.

• Enjoyment in solving intricate problems, with a demonstrated ability to propose effective solutions.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience in working effectively within a team and conveying technical concepts to non-technical cross-functional partners.

• A passion for testing methodologies and debugging techniques to ensure the delivery of high-quality code.

• Bonus points for: Billing & Payments: Experience in building or maintaining billing, payment processing, or subscription platforms (e.g., Stripe, native app stores).

• Distributed Systems: A solid background in designing and scaling highly available, fault-tolerant distributed architectures.

• API Integrations: Proven capability to construct resilient integrations with third-party APIs, including managing webhooks, retries, and strict idempotency.
