Detection, Corporate Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system to gather and analyze logs from both corporate and production environments; create and implement detection mechanisms and alerts to spot malicious activities.

• Design and implement canary tokens and proactive warning systems to identify threats before they impact critical assets.

• Conduct comprehensive investigations into security incidents — encompassing malware analysis, data exfiltration evaluation, and timeline reconstruction — and create runbooks to enhance response capabilities.

• Collaborate with the IT department to establish and enforce security protocols across the employee device ecosystem, which includes endpoint protection, managed device prerequisites, OS compliance, and VPN access regulations.

• Lead the proof of concept and execution of Zero-Trust VPN and additional corporate security infrastructure.

• Offer security insights and advisory support to non-engineering departments throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in security engineering, detection engineering, or a related discipline.

• Practical experience in constructing or maintaining SIEM infrastructure and formulating detection rules.

• Familiarity with endpoint security tools (e.g., CrowdStrike or comparable EDR platforms).

• Proficient in Python programming with a proven history of producing production code that has been reviewed and delivered alongside software engineering teams.

• Experience in performing security incident investigations, including malware analysis, log examination, timeline reconstruction, and threat modeling.

• Knowledge of corporate security measures, identity management, endpoint protection, and enforcement of access controls.
