This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada, +1 more state.
• Oversee lighting design initiatives.
• Act as the primary designer and engage directly with clients.
• Coordinate and lead the internal design team to achieve milestone deliverables.
• Assist other lead designers as required.
• Provide support to fellow designers based on project demands.
• Conduct equipment research and liaise with manufacturers.
• Execute equipment studies (including lighting, audio, projection, etc.).
• Convert designer mark-ups into project design documentation.
• Generate design documents such as plans, details, elevations, control diagrams, schedules, reports, and specification packages.
• Participate in project meetings, preparing agendas and taking notes as necessary.
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control on all client deliverables.
• Travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and education regarding emerging technologies.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
• Experience in Theater, Film/TV, Theme Park, and/or Museum Design and Specification.
• Proficiency in 3D drafting using either Vectorworks or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with theatrical lighting or AV design.
• Knowledge of architectural and facility requirements, along with the integration of lighting equipment into attractions, museums, or live events.
• Comprehension of the creative process.
• Ability to read architectural blueprints and interpret electrical schematics.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in lighting and show design.
• Capability to adhere to a project’s defined scope, timeline, and budget.
• Strong grasp of current technology and industry standards relevant to all facets of lighting design, particularly in live show and facility infrastructure systems.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
• Excellent communication skills; highly motivated; able to accept direction with ease.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
