This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada, +1 more state.
• Oversee AV design projects from inception to completion.
• Serve as the primary designer and maintain direct communication with clients.
• Organize and lead the internal design team to deliver key milestones.
• Assist lead designers in their responsibilities.
• Provide support to other designers based on project requirements.
• Conduct equipment research and liaise with manufacturers.
• Deliver AV studies, including projection and acoustic analyses.
• Convert designer annotations into project design documentation.
• Create comprehensive design documents, including AV plans.
• Develop detailed drawings and elevations.
• Generate control diagrams.
• Prepare schedules, reports, and specification packages.
• Attend project meetings, providing agendas and notes as necessary.
• Conduct QAQC on all deliverables provided to clients.
• Travel to project sites and attend client meetings as needed.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and education in emerging technologies.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in AV and show design.
• Proficient in 3D drafting using either Vectorworks or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with theatrical AV design principles.
• Knowledge of architectural and facility requirements for integrating AV equipment in attractions, museums, or live events.
• Understanding of the creative process involved in design.
• Capability to read architectural blueprints and interpret electrical schematics.
• Proven ability to meet project scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
• Strong grasp of current technology and industry standards related to AV design, specifically for live shows and facility infrastructure systems.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or G Suite applications.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
