• Assist with projects within our California-Desert Business Unit.
• Provide Design Coordination assistance throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Keep updated master lists and logs during both design and construction phases.
• Oversee the development of specifications using the Specification Development Platform (SpecLink).
• Manage the production of design deliverables.
• Aid in the creation of the design work breakdown structure and project schedule.
• Contribute to the preparation and execution of project and quality management plans.
• Coordinate and document fundamental QA/QC activities.
• Maintain project collaboration platforms.
• Assist the Design Manager in engaging Subject Matter Experts for quality control.
• May support coordination with subconsultants and teaming partners.
• Facilitate design team meetings and communications.
• May create materials for client presentations.
• Offer mentorship, guidance, and knowledge-sharing to support the development of less experienced team members.
• At least two years of experience in project coordination and construction specification standards/EJCDC in the A&E and construction sectors preferred.
• An Associate’s degree in business administration or equivalent relevant experience.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Bluebeam, and ProjectWise is advantageous.
• Ability to foresee project needs and independently identify work assignments.
• Comfortable interacting directly with senior managers and technical personnel.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn and progress within the role.
• Capability to multitask and prioritize is essential.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team setting is necessary.
• Must be able to operate effectively under various deadline pressures.
