This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Act as a reliable legal advisor to the General Counsel, executive leadership, and business stakeholders on matters related to legal, regulatory, litigation, employment, compliance, and commercial issues.
• Oversee and manage litigation, claims, disputes, and pre-litigation issues, which includes legal strategy, supervision of outside counsel, coordination of discovery, support for motion practices, and recommendations for settlements.
• Conduct and supervise internal investigations as well as responses to subpoenas, audits, regulatory inquiries, and government requests.
• Develop, implement, and monitor legal and compliance policies, controls, and training initiatives.
• Offer daily legal counsel to Finance, Human Resources, Sales, Procurement, Product, Information Technology, Operations, and other business departments.
• Track legal and regulatory changes and suggest necessary modifications to policies, processes, and operations.
• Assist in leading legal department operations, which includes managing outside counsel, budgeting, prioritizing tasks, and enhancing processes across Quake AI and the Rumble video platform.
• Juris Doctor degree from a recognized law school.
• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• Over 15 years of legal experience.
• Solid expertise in litigation, compliance, and legal advisory roles.
• Experience in managing intricate commercial disputes, claims, investigations, and litigation strategies.
• Familiarity with corporate governance, legal compliance frameworks, internal controls, and enterprise risk management.
• Strong business acumen and the capability to provide clear, practical legal advice in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience in overseeing internal investigations, regulatory responses, or government inquiries.
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
• Preferred: experience in managing legal personnel, paralegals, contract professionals, or relationships with outside counsel.
• Preferred: experience in scaling legal department operations, including budgeting, workflow enhancements, and managing outside counsel.
• Preferred: background in employment law.
• Preferred: experience in supporting executive leadership on high-risk or enterprise-level legal matters.
• Preferred: experience in advising sectors such as cloud computing, data center infrastructure, AI/HPC, video, advertising, or similarly regulated industries.
