This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver practical legal guidance regarding healthcare laws, regulations, and rules that affect Hims & Hers products and services.
• Assist care operations, medical affairs, and EMR product engineering teams with laws and regulations governing telehealth care delivery.
• Offer counsel to cross-functional teams on regulatory risks associated with healthcare and considerations for telehealth treatment.
• Support growth and product counsel teams concerning regulatory elements of new product introductions.
• Identify issues related to privacy, products, employment, litigation, and pharmacy matters.
• Work alongside the public policy team, providing subject matter expertise on proposed laws, regulations, and rules.
• Keep updated on applicable state and federal telehealth laws.
• Juris Doctor degree from a law school accredited by the ABA.
• Active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction in the U.S.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a practicing attorney specializing in healthcare regulatory matters.
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, especially those related to telehealth compliance/operations and digital health.
• Familiarity with applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations for care delivery services and operations.
• Understanding of telehealth technologies/modalities, corporate practice of medicine (CPOM), state-specific professional practice standards, credentialing, provider compensation, and handling board complaints.
• Capability to assist the customer experience team with healthcare regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record of delivering innovative, solution-oriented legal advice.
• Ability to adapt swiftly in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• Strong skills in time management, project prioritization, and overall management.
• Experience engaging with legislators, trade associations, and regulatory/licensing authorities is advantageous.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions for any employer.
