This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Provide guidance to the General Counsel, executive leadership, and business stakeholders on matters related to legal, regulatory, litigation, employment, compliance, and commercial issues.
• Lead and oversee litigation, claims, disputes, and pre-litigation issues.
• Manage legal strategy, coordinate with outside counsel, support discovery processes, and make settlement recommendations.
• Conduct and supervise internal investigations as well as responses to subpoenas, audits, regulatory inquiries, and requests from government entities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor legal and compliance policies, controls, and training initiatives.
• Offer daily legal counsel to Finance, Human Resources, Sales, Procurement, Product, Information Technology, Operations, and other departments.
• Keep abreast of legal and regulatory changes, suggesting adjustments to mitigate risk and facilitate compliant growth.
• Assist in leading the operations of the legal department, including managing outside counsel, budgeting, prioritization, and enhancing processes.
• Support scalable legal operations across Quake AI and the Rumble video platform.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law institution.
• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar association.
• Over 15 years of legal experience.
• Strong expertise in litigation, compliance, and legal advisory roles.
• Proven experience in managing intricate commercial disputes, claims, investigations, and litigation strategies.
• Familiarity with corporate governance, legal compliance structures, internal control systems, and enterprise risk management.
• Solid business acumen with the ability to provide clear, actionable legal guidance in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Experience in overseeing internal investigations, regulatory responses, or governmental inquiries.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Capacity to prioritize conflicting demands and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
• Preferred: experience in managing legal personnel, paralegals, contract professionals, or relationships with outside counsel.
• Preferred: experience in scaling legal department operations, budgeting, workflow advancements, and outside counsel oversight.
• Preferred: background in employment law.
• Preferred: experience supporting executive leadership on high-stakes or enterprise-wide legal matters.
• Preferred: experience advising in industries such as cloud computing, data center infrastructure, AI/HPC, video platforms, advertising, or similarly regulated fields.
• Base salary ranging from $270,000 to $330,000 USD.
