This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee the implementation of the strategic objectives, annual operating plan, and critical performance indicators for the business unit.
• Work in partnership with Chapter leadership on strategic planning and execution at the chapter level.
• Create and sustain a dynamic annual plan that encompasses membership, programming, communications, sponsorship, and operational milestones.
• Develop effective systems, workflows, and documentation to ensure quality, consistency, and scalability within a start-up environment.
• Spot opportunities for innovation, growth, and enhanced member value while considering budget constraints, capacity, and business unit goals.
• Create and execute strategies for member recruitment, onboarding, engagement, retention, and renewal.
• Articulate, refine, and promote the business unit’s member value proposition aimed at young professionals in risk management and insurance.
• Partner with Business Unit Marketing to design and enhance the member journey, including programs, communications, and community-building opportunities.
• Utilize data, feedback, and participation trends to suggest enhancements to membership offerings and engagement strategies.
• Collaborate with the Partnership team to develop and market sponsorship packages.
• Act as the primary staff contact for the Executive Leadership Council, which includes agenda preparation, meeting logistics, follow-up, and priority execution.
• Foster strong relationships with ELC members, volunteers, and external stakeholders to promote engagement, alignment, and informed decision-making.
• Prepare reports, updates, presentations, and planning documents for the ELC and other stakeholders.
• Assist with governance-related tasks, including committee activities, bylaws implementation, and volunteer leadership engagement as necessary.
• Lead the planning and execution of member programs, educational offerings, networking opportunities, and events, both virtual and in-person.
• Coordinate with marketing, communications, technology, finance, and other shared-services partners to ensure effective execution and a positive member experience.
• Contribute to the development and support of sponsorship, partnership, and stakeholder engagement initiatives that enhance the business unit’s reach and sustainability.
• Ensure project management frameworks, timelines, and accountability measures are established for key initiatives and events.
• Collaborate with organizational leadership and finance to develop and manage the business unit’s annual budget.
• Track revenue and expenses, monitor performance against objectives, and recommend adjustments as necessary to support financial viability.
• Oversee the daily operations of the business unit, including vendor management, technology platforms, compliance assistance, and process optimization.
• Establish regular reporting on business unit performance, membership metrics, program outcomes, and budget status.
• Work with chapters and finance to ensure adherence to non-profit regulations.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience is required.
• Experience in the insurance industry is highly preferred.
• Strong preference for experience working with young professionals, emerging talent communities, or member populations in risk management and insurance.
• Proven experience in leading teams.
• Demonstrated capability to transform strategic objectives into measurable execution and operational outcomes.
• Experience in managing budgets, vendors, and projects is essential.
• Preferred experience in developing programs, events, engagement strategies, or member-facing initiatives.
