Deputy Chief Technology Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assisting in defining and championing the long-term vision of DNC Tech: As a vital member of our cross-functional leadership team, you will play a crucial role in determining the direction and priorities of our team to ensure we fulfill our mission consistently.

• Overseeing key strategic initiatives from inception to completion: You will be tasked with planning and collaborating with cross-functional teams to facilitate the execution of significant initiatives.

• Streamlining internal processes and team support: You will contribute to the efficient operation of our team, which includes providing assistance to our management team, creating feedback mechanisms for enhancing individual support across the team, and aiding in the smooth execution of processes ranging from contract evaluations to budget oversight.

• Cultivating a culture of technical excellence and sustainable high performance, with a particular emphasis on team unity, morale, and preventing burnout during the demanding election cycle periods.

• Additional responsibilities will be established based on the unique strengths of the individual who occupies this role.

⛳️ Requirements

• A demonstrated history of successfully establishing a strategic vision and achieving measurable results.

• Extensive experience in managing complex technical projects from conception to completion; this may involve developing new products, adopting new technologies, or implementing innovative workflows within a technology-driven organization.

• Proficient at achieving results through influence, skillfully organizing cross-functional teams around strategic initiatives without direct managerial authority.

• Background in working with or for prominent Democratic organizations, including committees, campaigns, state parties, or related entities.

• Experience in fast-paced and dynamic environments, particularly with the integration of emerging technologies; bonus points for having led transitions involving technologies such as generative AI.

• Strong proficiency in stakeholder management, encompassing relationship development and strategic alignment.

• Self-motivated, able to navigate ambiguous and changing requirements while maintaining focus on delivering the most critical priorities.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting complex technical and strategic plans to executive leadership as well as non-technical audiences.
