This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Oversee the scheduling of appointments and reminders for patients.
• Facilitate the completion of new patient forms, consent forms, and payment prerequisites before appointments.
• Organize and maintain patient records and associated documentation.
• Address patient inquiries and manage correspondence.
• Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
• Assist in coordinating pre-operative and post-operative care for patients.
• Ensure that all necessary medical clearances and health documentation are finalized prior to surgical procedures.
• Provide support to the treatment coordinator with administrative duties and document preparation.
• Generate reports, spreadsheets, and documentation trackers.
• Ensure the accuracy of information within the Open Dental practice management system.
• Aid in insurance coordination and processing of EOBs.
• Guarantee that all patient communications and records adhere to HIPAA compliance regulations.
• A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory.
• Previous experience in reviewing patient medical histories and medication lists.
• Basic knowledge of medications typically utilized in surgical or dental environments.
• Familiarity with medical and dental terminology, especially related to oral surgery.
• Preferred knowledge of workflows pertaining to oral surgery.
• Strong front desk experience, ideally in a dental or oral surgery setting.
• Extensive background in appointment scheduling, patient communication, and front desk management.
• Capability to effectively manage complex, multi-step patient workflows.
• Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
• Required experience with Open Dental; hands-on experience is essential.
• Preferred experience with Delta Dental insurance integration (EOB processing).
• Familiarity with Zoom Phone.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Proficient critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong focus, productivity, and accountability in a remote working setting.
• Quick learner capable of following instructions closely and adapting to new workflows.
• Comfortable and confident in a fast-paced surgical practice.
• Candidates with experience in roles such as Medical Receptionist, Medical Scribe, Patient Care Coordinator, Dental Receptionist, or Healthcare Administrative Assistant are highly preferred.
• Must be proficient in clear spoken and written English.
• Relevant work experience is required.
• Must be able to provide an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check prior to onboarding (mandatory).
• Availability for video meetings with the camera on when necessary.
• A reliable laptop or desktop computer is required.
• High-speed internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps) is necessary.
• A noise-canceling headset is required.
• A webcam for virtual meetings is necessary.
• A quiet and professional workspace is essential.
