Democracy Defense Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Lead a statewide coalition focused on preventing election sabotage and represent All Voting within state pro-democracy coalitions: Establish, nurture, and sustain relationships with elected officials at the state, county, and municipal levels, as well as with election officials and partners to expand the coalition.

• Act as a policy expert for media and elected officials who have inquiries regarding topics related to election sabotage (e.g., vote counting, certification, etc.).

• Facilitate connections between elected officials and election officials with partner organizations (and vice versa) when appropriate.

• Develop, implement, and execute campaign strategies to educate and mobilize coalition partners and other stakeholders in support of reforming election administration.

• Identify, track, and disseminate information regarding potential threats in “threat counties” and “watch counties” that could result in democratic regression, such as delays in election results, etc.

• Monitor legislation, create training sessions on the implications of adverse legislation, formulate policy solutions, and spearhead legislative strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• At least four (4) years of experience in organizing, campaigning, voting rights, or civil rights coalition work.

• Proven project management and supervisory experience.

• Ability to bring together multiple partners with differing priorities around a common mission or objective while adhering to tight deadlines.

• Creative thinker who seeks out solutions.

• A proactive self-starter and collaborative team member who excels in a dynamic environment.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Experience in coalition work is required.
