This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with the Customer.
• Foster relationships by becoming the customer's advocate and mentor through trust-building.
• Maintain a consistent schedule of discussions and updates on progress.
• Oversee communication with stakeholders at various levels, adjusting tone as necessary.
• Understand the client's business, environment, objectives, and challenges. Use your strong sense of empathy to provide appropriate support and advice for effective product or program delivery.
• Coach customer and partner teams on agile practices or execution improvements, recognizing when to recommend standard practices versus creatively identifying the right behaviors to encourage.
• Utilize your product management expertise to exemplify effective product owner and product management practices.
• Assist both client and Egen teams in effective prioritization, roadmap development, and execution practices, keeping the end user (“customer”) in focus.
• Provide supplementary skills to the Customer’s team as necessary.
• Oversee Egen Project Delivery.
• Prepare and utilize Egen’s tools for project management, or introduce your own ideas for improvement.
• Initiate project activities with team members to ensure their success internally and externally.
• Develop and manage project plans, communicating these to internal and external stakeholders in appropriate formats. Identify and proactively manage dependencies.
• Facilitate and lead meetings with effective communication and efficiency. Document meeting minutes (in collaboration with the team), create presentations, and structure ad hoc meeting materials.
• Oversee the daily project operations, ensuring the Egen team meets expectations or creatively adjusts our approach as needed.
• Manage scope and any change requests as required.
• Identify and address risks, issues, and requests, escalating them appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Leverage both agile and traditional program management backgrounds to devise the most effective delivery and management processes and tools, guiding teams from need to goal while ensuring clear communication.
• Manage your project budget in coordination with your Sales partners.
• Actively seek opportunities to expand the account you are working on by proposing ideas for future projects to your SSDL or account team.
• Approach project delivery with a product mindset, which is central to our methodology. Apply sound product management practices to manage Egen deliveries, setting an example for our clients.
• Deliver SDL offerings as they evolve, which may include workshops, innovative delivery methods, or coaching.
• Understand the distinction between task management and taking ownership of product delivery and success.
• Engage in Sales, Resourcing, and Egen Growth.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to source appropriate resources for newly sold projects.
• Partner with account teams to ensure they have the necessary information for informed decision-making.
• Lead the SOW contracting process, drafting SOWs, and managing the redline process until completion. Participate in MSA redline processes.
• Support the SDL team’s efforts to expand Egen and the SDL team through process improvements, templates, or marketable offerings.
• Manage Internal Team Communications.
• Clearly define scope and expectations for Egen team members, ensuring their roles are understood and they are set up for success.
• Collaborate effectively with other engaged teams, treating the customer as an equal and actively mentoring others to avoid common consulting pitfalls.
• Keep internal stakeholders informed as necessary through regular ceremonies or ad hoc updates. Communicate objectives, risks, and any needs/requests clearly.
• Over 10 years of experience managing large-scale and complex projects, leading project teams of varying sizes, locations, and skill levels.
• Preferred experience in professional services or client delivery; **this is a hands-on client-facing position.**
• Experience in team/employee career management is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related technology field.
• Experience collaborating with product companies, balancing both detailed involvement and strategic oversight.
• Background in product management and project management, with a clear understanding of the roles of a product manager and owner, and their application in project delivery.
• You thrive in environments with minimal structure and facilitate change around you.
• You approach tasks systematically and logically, supported by strong communication skills and technical knowledge.
• You are an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
• You possess the ability to convey information through illustrations, words, or diagrams/workflows, possibly with a background in engineering, software architecture, or delivery.
• Trained in project management and agile methodologies, whether through self-study or formal training.
• You are generally process-oriented, enjoy reducing chaos, and find satisfaction in organizing people, activities, and deliveries.
• You are a learner, proactive, and consistently aim for improvement.
• You have experience with agile methodologies, software development practices, various agile delivery tools, and their administration, with a background in engineering, software architecture, product management, or delivery.
• Relevant certifications or training may include CSM and other project management certifications (PMI, PMP, etc.).
