Delivery and Portfolio Manager – IT Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take charge of 2–3 intricate, client-facing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery according to the agreed margin.

• Execute Agile delivery actively utilizing Azure DevOps: create and refine user stories, set up sprints, monitor velocity, manage resource allocation, and generate status and risk reports.

• Facilitate project planning, gather requirements, conduct business analysis, and develop user stories, particularly during the discovery phase and initial shaping.

• Recognize potential risks, eliminate barriers, and maintain projects within scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.

• Lead distributed project teams across the US, Brazil, and India.

• Supervise and mentor 2–3 project managers handling additional projects; establish delivery standards throughout the portfolio.

• Engage with C-level executives, client teams, and technical teams; proactively escalate and resolve issues.

• Assist in SOW scoping and estimation as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of professional experience, with at least 7 years in IT consulting managing client-facing projects.

• Robust experience in application development projects.

• Proficient in Agile/Scrum delivery from a project management viewpoint, encompassing user stories, sprint setups, velocity monitoring, and resource allocation management.

• Experience in delivering projects within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure, .NET, and Power Platform.

• Capability to lead projects from discovery and requirement gathering to shaping and delivery.

• Strong skills in business analysis.

• Experience managing distributed teams across different time zones.

• Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Willingness to engage hands-on with delivery specifics, beyond just a governance role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Previous software development experience is preferred.

• PMP or CSM certification is preferred.

• Experience with IT integration projects for client M&A is preferred.
