Deliverability Engineer, Core Sending

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for developing and sustaining the essential components of Resend that manage the dispatch of transactional and marketing emails.

• Work in collaboration with the Core Sending Squad.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess experience in email deliverability, reputation management, mail operations, anti-abuse measures, or high-volume email systems.

• Have a solid understanding of IP reputation, domain reputation, authentication processes, bounces, complaints, suppressions, and warmup strategies.

• Familiarity with the behavior of major mailbox providers and the ability to diagnose provider-specific delivery challenges.

• Capable of converting unclear deliverability assessments into metrics, policies, runbooks, dashboards, and systems.

• Communicate effectively with engineering, support, product teams, and customers.

• Exhibit low ego, sound judgment, and a strong sense of ownership.

• Experience in managing shared and dedicated IP pools.

• Have designed or overseen IP warmup programs.

• Skilled in resolving issues related to provider blocks, spam-foldering, complaint spikes, deferral spikes, or blocklist occurrences.

• Familiarity with Google Postmaster Tools, Microsoft SNDS/JMRP, Yahoo Sender Hub, feedback loops, or blocklist monitoring.

• Understand technical concepts such as DKIM, SPF, DMARC, PTR, TLS, DSNs, List-Unsubscribe, suppression, and bounce classification.

• Collaborated with Trust & Safety, anti-abuse, support, or customer-facing teams.

• Contributed to the development of deliverability dashboards, reputation scoring, traffic segmentation, or automated enforcement systems.

• Experience in assisting engineering teams in translating deliverability knowledge into product and infrastructure enhancements.
