Defense Contracts Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee SAM.gov, GSA eBuy, DIBBS, agency forecasts, and additional resources to pinpoint pertinent DoD contract opportunities

• Develop and sustain relationships with contracting officers, program office stakeholders, DLA points of contact, and prime/subcontractor partners

• Spearhead comprehensive proposal development encompassing technical volumes, staffing plans, past performance narratives, and cost/price volumes

• Ensure proposals adhere to RFP guidelines and are structured effectively

• Administer the complete contract lifecycle: negotiation, award, modifications, options, and closeout

• Guarantee compliance with FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific supplements

• Collaborate with Lead Engineers to ensure alignment between contractual obligations and technical execution

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Contracts Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (equivalent experience will be considered)

• Over 5 years of experience in managing DoD/federal government contracts

• Strong familiarity with FAR/DFARS and DoD acquisition processes

• Proven experience in drafting and overseeing competitive federal proposals

• Experience with contract types prevalent in DoD work (IDIQ, FFP, CPFF, T&M)

• Exceptional written communication skills — capable of transforming technical content into clear and compliant proposal language

• Proficient in using SAM.gov, GSA eBuy, and standard contract management software
