Deed Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare, assess, and complete a diverse array of deeds, such as warranty deeds, quitclaim deeds, special warranty deeds, trustee deeds, and corrective instruments across various states.

• Evaluate title commitments, legal descriptions, surveys, and previous conveyance documents to guarantee precision and adherence.

• Investigate state-specific recording mandates, transfer taxes, exemptions, notarization criteria, and jurisdictional distinctions.

• Oversee the logistics of deed execution, which includes remote notarization, witnesses, apostilles, and submission for recording.

• Examine and address title objections, vesting inconsistencies, and issues related to legal descriptions.

• Monitor recording confirmations and keep transaction files and databases well-organized.

• Track deadlines and ensure adherence to regulatory and contractual obligations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate law, title work, or transactional support.

• Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; a Paralegal certificate is highly desirable.

• Proven experience in drafting deeds across multiple U.S. jurisdictions.

• Understanding of entity structures (LLCs, corporations, trusts) and associated authority documentation.

• Background in managing large portfolios or high-volume transactions.

• Familiarity with e-recording platforms (e.g., Simplifile, CSC, ePN).

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and document management systems; experience with title/closing software is advantageous.

• Outstanding organizational capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage several concurrent transactions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong adaptability to and navigation of new technologies and platforms.
