Debt Recovery Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Oversee and monitor collection accounts promptly and professionally.

• Engage with clients and stakeholders through phone and email regarding overdue accounts.

• Keep precise records and documentation in Google Sheets and internal systems.

• Assist in debt recovery procedures and account resolutions.

• Facilitate operational workflows and administrative duties related to collections.

• Review legal and financial documents as necessary.

• Employ AI tools to enhance productivity, research capabilities, and workflow efficiency.

• Generate reports, update trackers, and guarantee data accuracy.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams to address account issues and optimize processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in collections, debt recovery, MCA operations, paralegal work, or administrative support in a financial services or legal setting.

• Proficient working knowledge of Google Sheets (sorting, filtering, formulas, data management).

• Familiarity with AI tools to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Strong organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills.

• Critical thinking skills coupled with effective problem-solving capabilities.

• Self-driven, reliable, and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.

• **Preferred Skills**

• Experience utilizing collections software or CRM systems.

• Knowledge of legal documentation and financial compliance procedures.

• Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace.

• Background in merchant cash advance (MCA) operations is highly beneficial.
