This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Direct the strategic vision, development, execution, evaluation, and ongoing enhancement of the General Education curriculum.
• Ensure alignment with institutional learning outcomes, principles of competency-based education, accreditation standards, workforce demands, and best practices in higher education.
• Promote academic excellence by encouraging rigorous, student-centered instruction and innovative teaching methodologies across all General Education courses.
• Recruit, mentor, develop, and support a high-performing team of faculty and academic leaders dedicated to student success.
• Advocate for evidence-based curriculum design, instructional innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration throughout the University.
• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing student persistence, retention, progression, and graduation through proactive academic support and data-driven interventions.
• Supervise remediation strategies and student success initiatives that bolster college readiness and assist students in overcoming academic obstacles.
• Advance online, hybrid, asynchronous, and technology-enhanced learning while thoughtfully incorporating emerging educational technologies and artificial intelligence.
• Collaborate with Institutional Research, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Advising, Disability Services, and other university leaders to enhance learning outcomes and the overall student experience.
• Manage assessment, accreditation readiness, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Act as a vital member of the Academic Leadership Team, contributing to institutional strategy, resource planning, and university-wide initiatives.
• Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education.
• Experience in leading faculty, curriculum development, academic operations, and continuous quality improvement.
• Demonstrated experience with accreditation processes, assessment, and institutional effectiveness.
• Proven track record of leading organizational change, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Doctoral degree in Higher Education, Education, Liberal Arts, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in implementing competency-based education (preferred).
• Leadership experience in supporting online and hybrid learning environments (preferred).
• Experience in advancing faculty development and fostering instructional innovation (preferred).
• Familiarity with regional accreditation processes, assessment systems, and learning analytics (preferred).
