DE FHA Underwriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess and underwrite FHA, VA, and conventional mortgage loans.

• Ensure compliance of loans with company, investor, and agency standards.

• Review complete credit packages and validate the quality of loans.

• Make recommendations on loans that exceed authority thresholds.

• Assist processors and correspondents in understanding guidelines.

• Address post-closing audits and engage in quality control evaluations.

• Provide support in training new underwriters as required.

• Uphold a professional image and standards that align with company policies and procedures.

• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and security when handling company information, both verbal and written.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage underwriting – Required.

• DE/FHA Certification – Required.

• SAR designation – Preferred.

• Extensive knowledge of FHA/VA/agency underwriting guidelines.

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Bachelor's degree preferred (High School diploma required).
