DBT Therapist – NY Licensed, Master's or Doctoral, Telehealth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver individual DBT therapy to adult clients through live video sessions.

• Conduct DBT skills groups via live video platforms.

• Assign relevant DBT digital lessons, videos, and assessments.

• Enhance client learning and track outcomes between sessions.

• Provide culturally sensitive care to clients from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and abilities.

• Participate in weekly consultation team meetings.

• Attend one-on-one consultation sessions with an expert DBT team leader.

• Co-facilitate DBT skills groups alongside other DBT practitioners.

• Engage in comprehensive training to enhance clinical skills.

• Offer support during crises with the team's assistance.

⛳️ Requirements

• An unrestricted and active New York license, capable of working independently without supervision from a licensed supervisor, with no current or pending disciplinary actions.

• Any New York LMFT/LCSW licenses must have diagnostic privileges.

• Required formal didactic training in DBT.

• A minimum of one year of experience in providing comprehensive DBT, including individual DBT therapy through Stage 1, facilitating skills groups using Linehan materials, participation in a consultation team, and skills coaching.

• Experience and comfort working with clients exhibiting high-risk behaviors, such as suicidal ideation and/or self-injury.

• Willingness to pursue cross-licensing in additional states as necessary.

• Proficiency in using computer and live video tools, including Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, and Skype.

• DBT-LBC certification is preferred but not mandatory.

• Prior experience in providing telehealth therapy services is preferred but not required.
